Prologue

The life of us, human beings, has been keeping it's origin alive, with the energy that created the earth. Human beings were born with the same principles of the earth, which birthed life itself, and continue to live with this principle.

In other words, it is evident that 'human beings' live in harmony with the laws and providence of nature. Environmental pollution which undermines the laws of nature, is destroying the source of humankind's life, nature, leading to complex pollution problems and continues to destroy the cycle of nature.

Nature runs in a cycle that gives birth to all things. This cycle is about to be eradicated by global pollution. This means, without a doubt, environmental destruction. This environmental destruction is weakening the Earth's life force, ultimately causing the "collapse of the Earth".

We are now rising to protect the wonderful and irreplacable life of the earth, of humankind, and life of all things that supports them. For the children of tomorrow, for the Japan of tomorrow, and for the earth of tomorrow. Kitakyushu will bear the glory.

Let us think about the world of 'Astro Boy' drawn by Osamu Tezuka. Let us recall our amazement towards the Hollywood movie 'Back to the Future'.

The main character, Astro dashingly flew around under the highway bridge. Faster than an airplane, stronger than a demon, he was truly an 'Ally of Justice'. The world drawn by fantasy has become the reality and basis of our lives.

The dream world where the car 'DeLorean' fueled with trash, beer and discarded clothes flew off the ground has been made a reality by Michihiko Iwamoto of JEPLAN. He made his dream came true right in front of his own eyes. It has been backed and proven that if waste resources are regenerated as energy, then it is possible to supply more energy than using underground resources that has been causing global conflict.

Your dreams can come true and will be a reality. Have faith in the power that humankind can create. If we have this sense of mission, then it means we have already achieved it. Let us combine our strengths, and tackle this earth crisis together.

Since the birth of the earth, our lives have been passed down through the ages. This life we have, is connected by the wishes and prayers of people from the past. As the baton holder entrusted with the epoch we live in which is connected to the life of earth, we want to take responsibility of passing on this task to the next generation.
